The Catholic Parishes of Nativity of Mary, St. John Vianney, St. Patrick, and St. William invite you to a Eucharistic Procession through Janesville in celebration of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
The event begins at 3 p.m. with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Nativity of Mary Church, 313 E. Wall St. Participants will slowly walk the less-than-a-mile path to St. Patrick Church, 315 Cherry St. While walking, we will sing and pray the Rosary. The procession ends with Benediction in St. Patrick Church (don't miss the chance to see the beautiful church renovation!). All are invited to a tailgate in the St. Patrick parking lot following the procession until 6 p.m. The tailgate will include food and live music. Bring your own beverages, snacks, seating, shade, and games. Bathrooms are available at St. Patrick.
The Corpus Christi Procession will travel from Nativity of Mary Parish to St. Patrick Parish, crossing the pedestrian bridge over the river in downtown Janesville. Crosswalk volunteers will be in place to assist with traffic and safety.
Procession participants are encouraged to park in the St. Patrick School parking lot (where the procession will end) and then be shuttled by bus to Nativity of Mary Church for the start of the event. Shuttle buses will operate between the two churches before and after the procession from 2-5 PM.
